E-Commerce solution for manufacturers
Customer: Natura World, Inc.
Headquartered in Cambridge Ontario, Natura World, Inc. is a major natural and organic mattress manufacturer. Company
products are known for their superior quality and are sold throughout the US, Canada and the Caribbean through a network of
over 1,800 specialty store and major retail chains. Like several other businesses Natura wanted to capitalize on the opportunity
offered by the Internet to sell directly to the consumers at high margin retail prices. However, company was looking for more
than a typical online catalog and standard shopping cart solution. Natura wanted to work with their retail distribution network
instead of competing with them online. In addition, Natura required integration of website orders with existing ERP so that
online consumer and dealer orders could be handled like EDI orders.
IKESON developed a custom e-commerce solution that allowed the company to develop a successful drop shipment program to
sell directly to the public without jeopardizing the company`s relationship with the existing dealers. Online orders were
channelled through local dealers making it a win-win situation for Natura as well as its dealers in US and Canada. Consumers
are able to place orders using credits cards at retail prices in their local currencies. Dealers now have the flexibility of drop
shipment. Existing dealer wholesale orders are integrated into the existing ERP-EDI network. IKESON solution offers Natura
custom e-commerce with several advanced functionalities such as content management system (CMS), corporate blog,
interactive carefully designed catalog, dealer locator, social media integration, online coupon management, dealer support
system, newsletter management system, online registrations, commission system, queries response system and knowledge base.
For greater security the website interface uses data located within the hosting facility and never communicates directly with
Natura’s ERP system. IKESON solution has been a great success giving the company an edge over many of its competitors. Ever
since launch online sales are consistently increasing. Even during the current recession Natura, using IKESON`s e-commerce
platform, was able to almost double its online sales.
